Objective

In this course, students get an overview on the most important aspects for the design of integrated digital circuits in an comprehensive fashion. The complete design flow is covered, starting from the specifiaction of the problem down to the generation of mask layout. Students attending also the accompanying group excercises, which are carried outon UNIX workstations running professional VLSI design software, as it is used for industrial designs, are able to design digital circuits in a top-down manner.
