Andreas Abraham joined IAIK in 2016 and is currently working towards his PhD. He is part of the eGovernment Innovation Center (EGIZ) focusing on research in eGovernment and beyond as well as on developing and maintaining software for Austrians' citizens and public services.

Research

My main research interests are identity management (IdM), cloud computing and Blockchain and distributed ledger technology (DLT). In my PhD, I am focusing on self-sovereign identity (SSI), decentralized public key infrastructure (DPKI), DLT, consensus mechanisms and applied cryptography in these fields. I was involved in several national and international projects including Credential (Secure Cloud Identity Wallet), a Horizon 2020 project focusing on secure data-sharing in the cloud.

I am a core group member and representative of Austria in the European Self-Sovereign Identity Framework (ESSIF), which is a part of the European Blockchain Service Infrastructure (EBSI).
