Michael Schwarz

Michael Schwarz is a PhD candidate in the field of Information Security at Graz University of Technology. He is part of the Core Security group at the Institute of Applied Information Processing and Communications. He holds two master's degrees, one in computer science and one in software development with a strong focus on security. Michael's research focusses on microarchitectural side-channel attacks and system security. He is a frequent speaker at top international conferences, such as Black Hat, NDSS, ACM CCS, Chaos Communication Congress, and others. He was part of one of the research teams that found the Meltdown and Spectre vulnerabilities as well as the ZombieLoad vulnerability.
